Artemisia tridentata Parighi Hall & Clements, Carnegie Inst., Wash. 326:137. 1923. Syn. Artemisia- Parishi Gray, Proc. Am. Acad. 17:220. 1882 2 km. west of Rosamond, Antelope Valley, near the westerly edge of the Mojave Desert. Growing on the open plains in the Larrea belt. Shrubs 1.8 m. high, with the habit and odor of A. t. typica. Bracts of the involucre 16 to 18; flowers 5 in each head; corolla 1.7 to 2.0 mm. long. The inflorescence is much reduced and more condensed than in the types and in other plants from near the tyne locality. Collected by H. M. Hall (no. 10959), Oct. 21, 1919. 01897068
