Rangeland and dryland grain farming, treeless, with Artemisia
tridentata, A. cana, Chrysothamnus nauseosus.

Gnarled shrubs to 1.3 m. tall; woody stems below to several cm.
thick. Very common on rangelands here. Aromatic. Heads pale
tan.
