Nee, 2001 MONTANA, Yellowstone Co., between Hardin and Billings, 20.5 miles (by road) E of Billings measuring from Pryor Creek Road. 45°41.49’N, 108°06.27’W. Rangeland and dryland grain farming, treeless, with Artemisia tridentata, A. cana, Chrysothamnus nauseosus. Gnarled shrubs to 1.3 m. tall; woody stems below to several cm. thick.
