Artemisia vulgaris L.

NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in Paumonek
Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School, at the north edge of the
site, on the southern curb of Jericho Turnpike. At the roads edge in a
weedy area with large aggregate gravel, near roadside runoff area.
Abaxial side of leaves silver. Growing at the edge of an Oak-Hickory
Mesic Woodland with Phragmites australis, Ambrosia artemisiifolia,
Phleum pretense, and Dactylis glomerata.
