Slender under storey shrub to 3 m.
with widely-spreading, few straight
branches. Leaves dark green above,
paler beneath. Flower pendent. Sepals
green * petals greenish-cream, paler within.
Anthers rich creamy yellow. Stigmas pale
green, covered in viscid clear substance.
Flowers with slightly fruity smell. Fruit
heavy, pendent, carpels tinged bright
pinkish-red. Seeds black, shining with
broad vermilion aril.
