BOULDER CO.: White Rocks, 8 miles E of
Boulder. Sandy soil on the western edge of
the surface back of the escarpment. Plants
bearing basal leaves the second year, but
all basal leaves withered if the plant
lives a third year and develops 3-4
secondary stems replacing the center one.
