Floodplain forest dominated by Carya illinoinensis, Ulmus crassifolia and Ptelea trifoliata, the herb layer dominated by Calyptocarpus vialis, Rivina humilis and Chasmanthium latifolium.

Vine; these are the largest leaves on a Smilax I have ever seen.
