  • Habitat

    Silty moist areas around spring derived from pumice alluvium in open Pinus jeffryi/ Populus tremuloides woodland. Xeric uplands with Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Linanthus nuttalii, Cercocarpus. Mesic areas around stream with Betula occidentalis, Rosa woodsii, Equisetum, Smilacina stellata, Pinus contorta. Common in shady moist areas.
