Subalpine spruce zone at around 7250 ft. elev. Open 30% E-facing slope, in open park. With dominants: Salix (prostrate), Phyllodoce empetriformis, P. glanduli- fera, Pedicularis bracteosa, Picea MAPPED FOR F.N.A. Arntennarla J anata (Hook.) Greene Det. Randall J. Bayer 19 (seedlings and young trees), Castilleja rhexifolia, Antennaria lanata, Vaccinium myrtillus and Luzula spp. Not mat-forming. Distribution: NY 01890630
