NE 1/4 Sect. 3. Champaign. Dodds Park, west end of
softball fields, artificial steep slope. Between Mattis
Avenue and Parkland College. Rising 7.5 min.
quadrangle. Disturbed loess and black alkaline clay on
steep slope; the loess source unknown - not from the
area.

With Ambrosia psilostachya, Cirsium arvense,
Bouteloua curtipendula, Solidago canadensis,
Schizachyrium scoparium. Locally abundant
rhizomatous perennial herb in large colonies about
3-6 meters in diameter. Probably introduced with
loess soil.
