Open flat dry meadow surrounded by encroaching Pinus contorta.
Soft silty pumice soil with rodent hillocks. With Carex,
Agoseries, Penstemon, Lupinus, Castillejo, Achillea, Stellaria.
Abundant: dominant flowering plant across dry meadow today.
