Habitat

Forest on terra firme, undulating terrain. Canopy open, Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to regenerate after die-back ca. 16 years ago.

Description

trunked palm. Trunked palm 4 m, inflorescence intrafoliar, rachillae numerous, pinnae in a single plane, to 24 pinnae per side. Underside of leaf gray. Fruits immature. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
