(Dexter cyn. quad: 37° 45.561'N, 118° 49.301'W; T2S R29E S19, SE/4 of NW/4). Alt.: 2165m/7100ft. Wide, heavily grazed meadow crossing muddy ranch rd. Fine silty soil of pumice and granitic origin. With Carex, Achillea millefolium, Cirsium, Trifolium, Taraxacum, Iris, antennaria. Scrub surrounding meadow evidently burned and densely infested with Bromus tectorum, with recovering Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Prunus andersonii, Phlox stansburyi, chrysothamnus viscidiflorus.
