GLASS MOUNTAIN REGION: N edge of Long Valley; springfed
meadow crossing 4WD ranch rd., near base of slopes rising N.
(Dexter cyn. quad: 37° 45.561'N, 118° 49.301'W; T2S R29E S19,
SE/4 of NW/4). Alt.: 2165m/7100ft.

Wide, heavily grazed meadow crossing muddy ranch rd. Fine silty
soil of pumice and granitic origin. With Carex, Achillea
millefolium, Cirsium, Trifolium, Taraxacum, Iris, antennaria.
Scrub surrounding meadow evidently burned and densely infested
with Bromus tectorum, with recovering Artemisia tridentata,
Purshia tridentata, Prunus andersonii, Phlox stansburyi,
chrysothamnus viscidiflorus.

Occasional, growing tall in meadow. Lvs somewhat curly-edged on older plants.
Flws yellow.
