Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Andrés Ibáñez Prov. Along Brecha 5, 5 km E of highway from Santa Cruz to Abapó (at "km 38").

Habitat
Slightly rolling, sandy, completely cleared of all original tall chaco forest vegetation for extensive fields stretching kilometers in every direction, for soybeans, corn, sorghum and other crops of the Mennonite colony. Recently planted windbreaks are of Eucalyptus, Casuarina, and Grevillea robusta.

Description
Tree 7 m tall, 20 cm in diameter; bark stringing and peeling in strips. Planted in shelterbelt along with Casuarina and Grevillea robusta.
