    On drier disturbed areas above the stream; W-E running stream cutting through alluvium of mixed volcanic and granitic origin, with granitic outcrops above. Pinus jeffryi woodland with understory of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Ribes, Salix, Carex, Juncus. Abundat.
