ASTERACEAE
Rhizomatous herbs to 3 fl tall, locally
common, flowers white. Growing in a small,
open field on a tiny W-facing slope (soil
pile), in disturbed loamy soil, with Bromus
inermis subsp. pumpellianus, Calamagrostis
canadensis var. langsdorfii, Chenopodium
album, Epilobium angustifolium var.
angustifolium, Equisetum fluvatile, Linaria
vulgaris, Phleum pratense & Taraxacum
officinale. To the W. side of a landing strip &
Lake Shore Drive, about O.lmi S. of the
intersection with Aircraft Drive & just of an
airplane taxiway. Lake Hood Seaplane Base
& airfield, Anchorage, Anchorage
Municipality. Elev. about 70ft. 61° 11'
15.4”N, 149° 58' 06.4”W. UTM 6 340435E,
6787300N (NAD83/WGS84).
