Eddy in moist soil in the forest, elevation 3900 feet. The prevalent tree is Douglas fir w ith some white fir and sugar pine, after cutting the original stand of Jeffrey pine. The common undershrubs are ceanothus and Uva-ursi in the dry places with Salix and Corylus in low ground. 01825152
