Habitat
Gently rolling, soil silt and sand, cleared for pasture. With abundant Acrocomia aculeata, brushy areas, pasture and around muddy cattle pond.

Description
Shrubs 1.5 m tall to small trees 5 m tall and 20 cm diameter, with copious milky sap. Leaves whitened beneath, softly pubescent, but plant with longer stiff stinging hairs and apparently untouched by cattle. Fruit green, held erect in the inflorescence, only a few formed per inflorescence. Petals white, stamens white.
