Donald M-Clelland NEW YORK, Bronx Co., Bronx, The New York Botanical Garden. 40°51 ’49”N 73°52’32”W alt. ca. 90 ft. Very common plant in woods along path between the bear den and forest intersection, close to the intersection with the old Hemlock trail (near DMcC 349 Dryopteris carthusiana). Flowers with white ray petals and yellow central flowers. Light “aster” smell. Voucher for a leaf tissue and DNA sample collected for the Forest DNA Barcoding Project; funded by the Alfred P.
