Fine silty soil of pumice origin, forested slopes and uplands of Pinus contorta and Populus tremuloides. Associated mesic species including Salix, Senecio triangularis, Aquilegia formosa, Smilacina stellata, Mimulus primuloides, Dodecatheon, Potentilla, Ribes, Trifolium. Common across meadow.
