Kansas. Douglas Co. 4.5 mi E Baldwin City (0.5 mi E junction of
KS Hwys 56 and 59 on Hwy 56). Sutton Cemetery. T15S R19E
section 02 NW1/4 of NW1/4. Elevation 300 m.

Annually mowed mesic upland tallgrass prairie remnant on W and
S sides of cemetery, bordered by weedy oak-hickory forest. Gentle
SW-facing slope. Sandy loam soil.

Scattered. Rays lavender to purple. Also collected at this site: A.
ericoides var. ericoides, A. pilosus, and A. praealtus var. praealtus.
