43°11 ’38”N, 90°39’50”W. alt. 225 m.

Loose patch of herbs 1 m. tall, rays white; disc light purple,
the small flowers make this the least conspicuous species of
Aster in this area. Edge of plantation of Pinus strobus, with
natural regeneration of Juglans nigra, on slope, partly
shaded, with Eupatorium rugosum, Rubus occidentalis.
