Dry-mesic upland forest on north-facing slopes and
steep bluffs, dominated by Quercus spp., Carya
ovata, Celtis occidentalis, Ostrya, Sassafras,
Symphoricarpos, Campsis, Elymus. Occasional
few-stemmed perennial herb 0.5 meter tall, rays and
disc white, fading pinkish, disc fading yellowish; at
margin of forest and roadside.
