Habitat
Bosque caducifolio. Remnants of forest on steep slopes of gorge. With Liquidambar macrophylla, Alnus acuminata ssp. arguta, Magnolia schiedeana, Styrax glabrescens, Gunnera killipiana.

Description
Shrub 4 m. tall. Leaves dark green above, not shiny; light green below. Flowers white; ovary reddish at tip. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
