a moisture gradient from along the road
to the west of Starhope Creek to a spring
about 25 meters below the road, where it
drops to a switchback to cross the creek
which drains Broad Canyon. Elev. 2365 m.

Abundance : Common

Associated species: Aster occidentalis,
Achillea millefolium, Lupinus leucophyllus,
Sitanion hystrix, Potentina fruticosa,
Arnica sororia, and Potentilla gracilis.
