Dr.. Turner writes: "This had no rhizomes nor stolons.
It was determined for me at Ottawa as A» ericoides I.

I have since learned that all true ericoides has numerou
long, slender underground stolons. (Dr. Rosendahl says
this is invariable)» When Dr. Bbivin Was here in 1952
I pointed out to him that it could not be ericoides
and was perhaps as yet unnamed. He agreed, and said he
would publish it as A. Turner!. Fe has never done so,
however.,* In this parcel I am calling collections of
this species A. X"
