Habitat
Treeland and grassland habitats at treeline. Extensive bogs present, and mosses in extensive sheets over bare cliffs. Boulders are mostly granitical. . Woodlands consist of Hersperomeles, Miconia, Barnadesia, Baccharis, etc. Hard turf bog with muddy, heavily grazed flushes. Sphagnun iragellanicum-Bneutelia spp. abundant in upper part. . Sopping wet areas at upper limit of bog, above the flushes in area where water filtrates. .
