Treeland and grassland habitats at treeline. Woodlands
consist of Hersperomeles, Miconia, Sarnadesia, Baccharis,
etc. Extensive bogs present, and mosses in extensive sheets
over bare cliffs. Boulders are mostly granitical. Hard turf
bog with muddy, heavily grazed flushes. Sphagnum mage 11 anicinviireute 1 ia
spp. abundant in upper part. Sopping wet area at upper limit of bog,above
tiie flushes where filtrates. Abundant. Mostly red and red-green in color.
