In open secondary woods, apparently former coca plantation.

Description
Treelet 4 m tall. Trunk 3 cm. diameter, bark fairly smooth, light greyish brown. Branching sparse, open, slender. Branches light brown. Lvs. very dark green above, somewhat shiny, costa yellowish green, major nerves distinct, prominulous; beneath pale glaucous to somewhat yellowish green. Linea more or less distinct. Fls. yellowish cream, on older branchlets.
