Habitat
Wet montane forest. Growing in remnant of former cocal persisting in shade of fruit trees.

Description
Shrub 6 m tall with trunk branched near base in 5 secondary trunks 5 cm diameter. Twigs red-brown. Lvs. dark green above, dull, veigns prominulous; pale green beneath with finely drwon dark green veinlets, areolae distinct, more yellowish. Lines distinct beneath. Fls. cream, axillary or on older woods. Fruits sublobose, yellowish (immature).
