Habitat
In small irrigated coca plantation.

Description
Shrub 2 m tall with spreading branches. Leaves dark to light yellow-green above, the veins more or less distinct, lighter yellowish; beneath leaves yellow pale green to yellowish, linea more or less distinct, areolae somewhat lighter. Fruits few, pedicel pale green, fruits orange turning bright red at maturity. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Small plantation above river. Other plots down in flood plain in new prepared fields. Fields weeded, plants ± old, much branched, spaced at least 2 m apart, picked by holding entire branch and at once ripping off almost all leaves. Harvest every 3 months.
