    Grown from seed in Greenhouse, Ottawa, for 4 months during the winter of 1973. Obtained from New York Bureau of Narcotics. Accompanied large hashish seizure from Afghanistan in case of U.S. v. Rothberg et al. This kind of broad-leaved plant was represented by the defense, with the support of Dr. R. E. Schultes, as representative of C. indica Lam. (cf. photograph, Schultes et al 1974. Bot Mus. Leafl. Harv. Univ. 23: 337-367, p. 359).
