At this altitude (about 2000 ft.), the season seems to be almost a month later than in the Columbia Gorge below. The oaks are just breaking bud. These grasses are assumed to be the tall F. reflexa form of the species, based on the presence of dead culms of last years plants still standing intermixed with these plants. . Along the Wahkiacus-to-Goldendale road, just below the edge of the plateau (about 5 miles S.W. of Goldendale) approximately 2000 feet altitude. T*tN, Rl4E~ S10.
