Tripsacum lanceolatum Rupr.

West-facing slopes of Cerro de Carboneras above the Río Cupa-
titzio, ca. 22 kms. south of Uruapan; dominant vegetation Pinus,
Quercus, and scattered Sable. Elevation 3300-3700 ft.

Common caespitose clumps ca. 2 meters
tall, rich loam on hillside by stream,
partial shade, flat blades ca. 6-7 cm.
wide.
