Sparsely forested slopes of Cerro Potrerillos, ca. 5 miles north of
Cotija and 22 miles south of Jiquilpan; vegetation consisting
mainly of small leguminous trees and shrubs, Opuntia, and
woody Ipomoea. Elevation 6000-6200 ft.

Infrequent caespitose clumps, ca. 2/3
meter in diameter, on rocky embankment
of mountain stream, blades flat.
