NW1/4 NE1/4 Sect. 34 Lockport, east side of the Des
Plaines River, west of Joliet I&M Canal Trail # 30 and
State Street, at northeast comer of former smelting
facility, along south margin of powerline access road
and north end of eastern dolomite ridge and quarry.

Joliet 7.5' quadrangle (1993). Crushed dolomite; barrens
dumping area on old refinery land, near ridge of slag -
melted/ burned dolomite and coke.

Disturbed open area, with Salvia reflexa, Setaria
glauca, Panicum capillare, Sporobolus vaginiflorus,
Aristida oligantha. Aspect of dolomite prairie.

Common, co-dominant with Panicum capillare.
