    Narrow canyon surrounded by steep slopes, mostly of sedimentary rock. Vegetation mostly of Salvia leucophylla, S. mellifera, Eriogonum fasciculatum, and Artemisia californica. Riparian elements such as Salix lasiolepis etc. developed along stream channels.

    Robust perennial herb, fls violet. local on edge of dry wash.

Narrow canyon surrounded by steep slopes, mostly of sedimentary
rock.

Vegetation on slopes mostly scrub of Salvia leucophylla, S.
mellifera, Eriogonum fasciculatum, and Artemisia californica.
Riparian elements such as Salix lasiolepis, S. laevigata, S. exigua,
Baccharis salicifolia, and Populus fremontii developed along stream
channels.

Scarce tufted perennial on dry, sandy bench.
