Rock, sandy floodplain forest between Cruson
Slough and the Wisconsin River. Varying from
open, dry and pure sand with prairie, to the
more dominant floodplain forest of Betula nigra.
Ulmus americana, Acer saccharinum. Fraxinus
pennsylvanica var. Pennsylvania.

Forming a colony. Young rhizomes pink.
