Sorghastrum nutans (L.) Nash

Sparsely forested slopes of Cerro Potrerillos, ca. 5 miles north of
Cotija and 22 miles south of Jiquilpan; vegetation consisting
mainly of small leguminous trees and shrubs, Opuntia, and
woody Ipomoea. Elevation 6000-6200 ft.

Common stoloniferous grass in rocky soil
with full sun, culms more or less decum-
bent at base.
