    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of "Serra Canaleao;" georeferenced to the shore of Ipanoré (synonymous with Panuré) along the Vaupés River (synonymous with Rio Uaupés) in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located approximate location of village of Ipanoré nearby the Vaupés River. Approximated the geographic center of the shoreline of Ipanoré along the river. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates. Because Ipanoré does not have defined spatial boundaries, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure from the selected coordinates to the approximate geographic center of the nearest named place, the village of Tariana, which is also along the Vaupés River; halved this distance to approximate the linear extent of Ipanoré. Input coordinates, linear extent (6962.7 m.), and measurement error (.1 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
