On dry, steep, west-facing, clear-cut slope over-
looking the Savannah River. Site #96 (Lat.

34°02’35"; Long. 82°36’39"), ca. 2.5 miles south of
the S. C. 72 bridge over the Savannah River; ca.

0.35 mile north of mouth of Beer Garden Creek. Below
the 475-ft. contour (full pool for proposed Russell
Lake). Area to be impounded in mid-1980’s.
