North Cedar-Sny Magill Creek Wildlife Management Area is owned by the Iowa
DNR. It is approximately 4.5 miles south of McGregor and on the Paleozoic
Plateau.

Schizachne purpurascens is infrequent in the middle of a west/northwest-
facing, moderate slope in a deciduous forest locally dominated by Jualans
niara. It is associated with Botrvchium virainianum. Carex oensvlvanica.
Carpinus caroliniana (common), Circaea lutetiana. Parthenocissus guinauefolia
and Prunus virainiana.
