Description
Note- Both in this plant and in C. F. Baker's No. 26, Alab. Biol. Surv. (Auburn, Lee Co., Feb. 15, 1897), the spores are not .035-.043 mm, as given in Mrs. E. G. Britton's Revision of Bruchia, in Bull. Torr. Bot. Club, Aug. 1894, p. 362, but 0.52-0.56 mm, the walls of the reticulations are .004 mm deep, .001 mm thick, and the spaces are up to .008 mm in diameter.
