Canada. Alberta. Kananaskis Provincial Park, near Mt. Arethusa at Kananaskis Summit (Highwood Pass) ca. 40 miles south of Highway 1, ca. 1/2 mile east of and 800 ft. above Highway 940.

Habitat
Alpine, above timberline or on rocky talus, 40% S slope. With dominants: Salix, Dryas octopetala, Hedysarum sulphurescens; also with Polygonum, Myosotis, Carex, Arabis drummondii, Saussurea nuda, Arnica mollis, Penstemon procerus, Astragalus bourgovii, Poa alpina, P. epilis.

Base of corolla violet; limb deep blue. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
