C. 41°45’W, 13°53'S Caatinga. Locally common shrub/treelet, 2-6 m. This plant 3 m x 2.5 cm. Habit somewhat flexuous and open similar to a woody specimen of C. calycina which at this locality is taller than usual and up to 3-4 cm diam. Bark grey; leaflets semi-coriaceous, bluish green, some with reddish margins; petals yellow, standard net-veined orange; nearly all inflorescences racemes; fruit set mostly basal as in C. calycina.
