3' high shrubby herb - leaves pinnate, soft, subtended by paired spiny stipules, stem of somewhat zigzag growth - flowers paired and stalked in axils, yellow - calyx pale green -0 fruit flat, oblong pod slightly indented between seeds, green flushed brown, becoming brown when dry. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
