Description
Small palm, with subterraneous root-emitting stem extended horizontally; stemless above ground. [see label for leaf measurements and description.] This palm is the dominant element in the sub-arbustive stratum of the cerrado, having the aspect of an almost continuous grass cover. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
