Mossy, moist hummocks on old stumps or active ant mounds within flooded matrix of Juncus balticus-Carex simulata community; with Salix candida, Potentilla fruticosa, Deschampsia cespitosa, Muhlenbergia glomerate, and Triglochin maritimum.
