south, at bend in road. 2.4 miles west of junction with
Interstate Route 57, due east-northeast of Herrin.
Johnston City 7.5’ quadrangle. Elevation 400 feet.
Wet sandy silt, floodplain; soil probably acidic.
Clearing at utility pole just west of gravel road; with
Liatrispycnostachya, Juncus spp., area ‘bog-like’.
Rather common erect, tufted perennial, roadside, low
area.
