1 mi. W of Hwy 120, as the wash canyon begins to narrow.

S6, NE/4 of SE/4). Alt.: 2073m/6800ft.
Dry wash originating in granitic hills W, cutting through heavily
grazed bajada towards Black Lake sink. Decomposed granite
alluvium. Pinus monophylla woodland with Artemisia
tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Ephedra viridis, Prunus andersonii,
Chrosothamnus nauseosus, Achnatherum hymenoides,
Chaenactis douglasii, Tiquilia.
Occasional on bajada, usually growing from rock bases. Clump bases 1.5 -
2.5dm across.
