Panicum miliaceum L
Common in ca. 20 acre cornfield (Zea mays),
in dense stand with Set aria viridis, S_.
faberi, Digitaria sanguinalis and AbutiIon
theophrasti along edge of cornfield but
forming an especially dense stand within the
field where herbicides had eliminated the other
panicoid grasses and the broadleaf -weeds. Seems
not to be present in an adjacent cornfield just
across a narrow farm road.
Erect or strongly ascending., except where bent
down by its own weight, 1-2 m. tall.
